At Deer Run we strive to provide activities, standards and attitudes which teach self-esteem, trust, teamwork and a cooperative spirit, in addition to good citizenship relative both to our own country and to the world. 

We endeavor to help each individual camper gain a sense of his or her own personal potential and to achieve a conviction that this potential can be realized. 

We also seek to instill in our staff and campers a deep respect for the land, its waters and all living things, and to encourage an ecological conscience which reflects our inter-dependence with all life and which acknowledges the individual’s responsibility for the health of our environment and our society.
